Holographic camouflage in Solomon Islands

I thought it would be good to compile some information on what seemed to be pure fantasy at first, but now it’s worth considering by anyone intent on getting visual evidence of UFOs or secret bases in Solomon Islands. Respectively I will start with Marius’ story, particularly the part explaining the aliens’ interest in rare gemstones that exist in Solomon Islands:

I maybe wrong, but I also believe one of the many reasons why they there, is that, for reasons of their own, they have been mining a very rare type of gemstone under this highly mineralised Kimberlite base carrying rock volcanic Island of multitude type gemstones. The rare gemstones of the Alien’s interest that my wife’s relatives possess have a far higher specific gravity than that of diamonds, and a refractive index that when you put the stone in sunlight, you see your mirror image deep in the centre of the stone. Also, holding them to the sun, they are a very deep transparent silvery-blue. For their size, they are noticeably extremely heavy. I once had one of these “E.T. Stones” that was 32.4 caret, which had these characteristics. Ironically enough, the more customary people of this Island call these particular UFOs “Diamond Snakes”, and there are some old folklore stories supporting the Alien’s interest in these unique gemstones.

The quoted part seemed totally irrelevant at the time, but after comparing with several accounts that I’m going to explain I think there might be a link between the gemstone optical properties and what I’m about the describe. Without revealing names of the sources, participants and places of these events I will use generic terms to describe what happened. I don’t care if it takes down the value of my blog. The purpose of this post is, more than anything else, to rattle the cage of those who claim  the right to secrecy and power.

1) Holographic Jungle Encounter

SI local went on a hunting trip in the jungle. While moving about he accidentally stumbled across a fake jungle canopy and walked straight through it. What he could see were parked advanced non-terrestrial looking aircrafts. Not a minute later he was approached by an armed guard (human) who told him to turn around, leave and forget what he saw. Of course man was very scared and obeyed the guard.

2) Holographically “Sealed” Underground Tunnel

I’m actually quoting one on my contacts here:

Local villager who claims that he fell into a really deep hole while walking on the Guadalcanal hills, he then tried his best to walk through the tunnel to get out, but to his amazement he heard voices talking, he approached the voices and came across blond white men alongside these reptilian creatures and UFO saucers next to a large underground water hole/sea hole, he then crept away scared and not long after found an exit which when he came through it and looked back it was not see-through but had the form of jungle tree’s etc (camouflage hologram?), he also was shocked to find that his little journey took him from one side of Guadalcanal all the way though to the other side of the island which he exited in a very short time frame.

3) Ghost Ship

Two fishermen were in a boat. On of them wanted to light a cigarette but he didn’t have a lighter. They saw a small ship nearby and decided to approach it and ask for a light. When they approached very close one of them extended his arm to grab the stern and tho his amazement his arm went straight through it.

If we search for military holographic technology on the internet, we will see that there are some good advances made publicly known. I can imagine what is unknown to the public. So if our terrestrial cabal is involved in something in SI I wouldn’t be surprised if they could pull off such visual stunts, but I must say Marius’ story is quite interesting one as well. There is more to this of course, but it is very inconvenient for me to write in more details. What’s the practical morale of this post? If you plan an expedition to SI make sure you have a thermographic camera in addition to normal camera. Eyes can be deceiving.

Solomon Islanders We Need Your Help!

After long silence on my page I have reason to make a new post. Those of you who read regularly already know that Wojtek is on one-man expedition in Solomon islands. He is staying there by 21 December 2011. Among other things like (weather, finances, physical fitness for navigating humid tropical jungle) due to intricate local customs, approvals and perhaps some dishonest local people Wojtek is having a lot of difficulty gathering proofs and evidence of any mysteries he has set to discover. Some people support him some people don’t trust him, but he definitely needs more support in terms of information, permission to access ancient burials sites, ruins or anything that is considered tabu place yet might hold a groundbreaking discovery for the rest of us humans who don’t have the opportunity to visit your amazing country.

If you want to sincerely enlighten your nation and bring the same light to the rest of the world PLEASE get in touch with us! We know there are local people from all walks of life who know something and would like to see this exposed, but for some reason there is just not enough initiative and secrecy seems to be very valued. Can you at least explain why the secrecy? Is because you know what is going on or you don’t know what is going on in your country?

Are we being disrespectful in some way we don’t understand? Or are we just disrespectful for not minding our own business?

If you know the background of these mysteries and lets say that ET presence in your country is real…is it good or is it bad for you people? What have you learned?

I understand that everyday life is not easy and when we face every day with our duties engineered by civilization that we belong to it is definitely not easy to dedicate yourself to these higher goals. They might seem like a childish game. Are you tired and you have no time? I understand, I also have no time. In fact you have no idea how much effort I’m putting into typing this post. I could be typing something for my work and daily bread you know, but on this particular day I decided to spend that time for my blog. Can you spend some time reflecting on your history and connect dots with what is going on today?

Do you think we are in it for the money? Wojtek quit his job in order to come to Solomon Islands to pursue his dream. I think I know what your ancestors saw in the eye of the white man when he came to Solomon Islands for the first time in history. They saw his urge to take, to get a hold of, to control, to consume, to make claim of, to insidiously befriend you so he can take advantage of you….not everyone is like that,  and not this time.

We need your help. We cannot afford to pay for it or we can afford very little. We are calling like minded people with strong tribal/ancestral connections in the community who feel that this expedition and this initiative is not a waste of time, but an adventure of a lifetime. Please let’s get in touch.

SI government seriously considers UFOs

I think there are not that many parliaments in the world where UFOs are being so frequently and openly discussed as in Solomon Islands parliament. Perhaps because no one really cares what goes on in SI? It’s very easy to obtain these transcripts. You just need to visit and Google for “UFO” and that’s it you have files available for download. I have mentioned this on Tutuvatu and shared this with my friend from Poland who explained the previous cases of UFOs and giants being mentioned in parliament sessions here:,proofs.html

“During the eighth session of the first parliamentary meeting on 25 April 2006 an MP called Oti said, among other things: “This Parliament has been hijacked. This Parliament has become a parliament that does not belong to the people of Solomon Islands. It seems to be a parliament of somebody else. I am telling this straight to you. This Parliament belongs to somebody else. We seem to bend down and succumb to this kind of forces, Mr Speaker, foreign aliens, UFO’s (unidentified foreign objects) […].  Mr Speaker, tell me when are we going to take control of ourselves? Can you tell me?”. Original file:Tuesday 25th April 2006 parliament session

The second statement comes from a parliamentary session held on 23 March 2009.  An MP, Mr Zama, said, among other things: “The only issue I would like to raise here, which is very disturbing as it has been going on for maybe since independence is that somebody may have been illegally using our airspace or has deliberately used our airspace without us knowing it. If people have been using our airspace, who is managing it on behalf of Solomon Islands? If they are using it, where are they paying that revenue to? Mr Speaker, I did a bit of research by browsing through the internet and the websites and I found an article that is a bit disturbing, and this is on the giants of the Solomon Islands and the hidden UFO basis. In this morning’s Solomon Star paper on page 17, there is also an article on ‘British Military of Defense briefed on UFO sightings’. Mr Speaker, this may be an unusual thing for me to discuss here but we are now talking about a special fund for operations within our sovereign airspace and this article on the Giants of the Solomon Islands is very, very well documented. I guess the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister as well as my learned Deputy Leader of Opposition would have knowledge of this because they have some bases here on Guadalcanal and they have some bases on Malaita. And according to this document they also have some bases on Makira as well. […]”. Original file:Monday 23rd March 2009 parliament session

And NOW the NEWS…and the reason why I decided to remind everyone on previous parliament sessions. There has been a new session specifically dedicated to the mysteriuos “plane crash” that happened on 7th September 2010:

The Speaker, Sir Allan Kemakeza took the Chair at 9.37 a.m.
At prayers, all were present with the exception of the Minister of Mines, Energy
& Rural Electrification; Lands & Housing and the Members for West Kwara’ae,
Aoke/Langa Langa.
Mystery plane crash: East Malaita
26. Mr SOGAVARE to the Minister of Police, National Security & Correctional Services: Concerning the sighting of the mystery plane by the people of East Malaita, can the Minister inform Parliament as follows: What steps were taken by the government to verify the report? What is the finding of the report?
Hon. TORA: I would like to thank my colleague Member for East Choiseul for asking this very important question for the interest of our people in East Malaita. We have heard what has happened, and this kind of incident not only happens in East Malaita but it also happened long ago in Makira where people there also told of a similar sighting but there has been no attempt to verify what has been sighted there.
Anyway for the sake of the question asked by the good honorable Member for East
Choiseul, I have the following answers from the Ministry and the Police who helped to provide the answers. Bear with me as I am going to take a bit of time to answer this question in order to clarify it.
On Tuesday 7th September 2010 around 17.45 and 18.15 hours, a number of persons from the villages of Ogou, which is about five (5) kilometres north of Atoifi and 20 kilometres south of Atori in East Malaita, reported that as they looked out to sea towards Leli Island, they saw a small aircraft emitting smoke from the rear and was travelling south. The plane was then seen to crash into the sea. This sighting was also confirmed by persons from Canaan Village as well as from witnesses who also confirmed that a small canoe had attempted to go out to the ocean area of the crash site which was about 4 to 5 km from the mainland, but turned back because of bad weather.
When the Atoifi Royal Solomon Islands Police Force received and confirmed these
reports, they immediately contacted the Honiara Radio Communications at the Police
Headquarters. This was communicated at 1900 hrs and it was confirmed that all aircraft from Honiara were accounted for. The Honiara Communications Unit took it further by notifying the PPF Provincial Policing with a view to formulate a plan of approach to respond to investigations.
On Tuesday 7th September 2010 at 14:20 hours, the same night, the PPF Provincial
Policing received the aircraft crash information from the Honiara Communications and
therefore notified the Participating Police Force (PPF) Coordinator in Auki, the Maritime Team Leader. The PPF Coordinator in Auki commenced liaising with the RSIPF and the Atori Police. Based on indicative probability that an aircraft had crashed, the PPF deployed a helicopter with Air Support Unit and Forward Looking Infrared capability to search the suspected crash area.
On Wednesday 8th September 2010, the search of the ocean area in Atori was delayed
and commenced at 0100 hours and with deteriorating weather conditions, the search was shortened and ceased at 0200 hrs. On the conclusion of this preliminary search response by the helicopter, it was confirmed that there was no sighting of any plane debris in the search pattern area. The next step then was to further zoom into the area of interest. At 0200 hrs, a Tier 2 boat departed Auki heading for Malu’u where at first light continued on to Atoifi where it arrived between 0800 hours and 0900 hours. The Tier 2 arrived in Atoifi and met with the RSIPF and local witnesses to the alleged plane crash. The Tier 2 and 3 banana boats conducted sea search of the area during daylight hours between 0900 hours and 1700 hours. There was no sighting of any plane debris, oil trails or bodies in the search area.
The PPF Provincial Coordinator met the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of
Communications and Aviation, the Director of the Solomon Islands Civil Aviation Authority (SICAA) and Chief Air Traffic Services to discuss the report of the alleged plane crash and the findings so far. They formulated a plan intended action by all parties. It was during this meeting that it was agreed that the SICAA will have “carriage of the investigation” in accordance to the legal obligations and provisions outlined in the Civil Aviation Act 2009 which relates to the legal authority of the Solomon Islands Civil Aviation Authority to investigate and enforce the rules based system under which civil aviation operates. Accordingly, SICAA sent an investigation team to Atoifi to work with the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force. The team consists of SICAA officials, the Solomon Islands Maritime Rescue personnel and members of the Royal Solomon Islands Police supported by PPF personnel. The PPF also provided assistance by airlifting three drums of fuel by helicopter from Auki to Atoifi to assist local boats conducting search of the area. The PPF Coordinator at Auki continued liaison with the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force and the Provincial Police Commander and then travelled to Atoifi to meet SICAA investigation team and assist the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force TO plan and manage the search of the sea as required. Warning orders were issued to the PPF, the RSIPF Disaster Victim Identification, Forensics and National Criminal Investigations Department in preparation and anticipation of locating a crash site and potential casualties.
On Thursday 9th September 2010, SICAA investigation team arrived on the ground in
Atoifi and worked with the Royal Solomon Islands Police and the PPF to investigate the plane crash report. Nill evidence was found on the sea or land to support the report of a plane crash. The PPF Coordinator in Auki and SICAA investigation team left Atoifi on the 11th September 2010. A debriefing meeting chaired by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Communications and Aviation was convened where the RSIPF, the PPF, the Solomon Islands Search and Rescue and Air Traffic Services were present. The meeting made a resolution to terminate the operation and agreed that the Atoifi RSIPF continue to monitor the area for a further 14 days.
As you would realize, the steps undertaken by the various government agencies with
the assistance of the PPF are of high standard and well coordinated. It is very thorough and therefore reflects the high cooperation existing within the Solomon Islands Government Agencies and the PPF. It also reflects the urgent response that government agencies can act with the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force taking the initial leading role hence I must commend them for their actions.
In answer to question (b), as already covered in my answer to part (a), which is quite
comprehensive, the findings revealed that there is no evidence of any plane crash and no evidence of any plane debris were found and that it is still a mystery.
Mr Sogavare: I thank the Minister for his response. I want to ask a supplementary question. The Minister made reference to 14 days put off when after doing those work they decide to put the progress of the search and whatever they were doing for 14 days. After the 14 days what else were you doing?
Hon. Tora: I would like to thank the honorable colleague Member for East Choiseul for that supplementary question. After those 14 days my office did not get any further information about the plane crash.
Mr ABANA: Thank you Minister for your comprehensive answer. The Minister also said there were similar sightings in Makira. Can the Minister explain what made those sightings similar to the one at Atoifi?
Hon. Tora: I mentioned that Makira has similar sightings of an aircraft. One example I can cite is that some people in West Makira way back in the 80s have seen a same kind of aircraft flying above the trees and then plunging down into the bush. That is one real story coming from there. When that plane disappeared into the bush, they could not see anything and so the people ran to the place they thought they saw it going down and searched the place but they did not find any aircraft. They even saw a speed boat when they went fishing at night but when they went closer it disappeared and they did not see it.
Mr HANARIA: You would agree with me that this is costing the government when we do not have reliable information for the government to act on. My question is, how reliable does your Ministry assess information of such nature before committing government to involve in a search?
Hon. Tora: It is reliable information that comes from people who saw it with their own eyes. When information reached the Police and other relevant authorities, they cannot turn a blind eye to such information but they have to carry out investigations into it. Because if they just sit down after getting information without doing anything is not good because it will only create complaints and all that from that area. Although the government spent money on that investigation I think it is only proper and is fitting.
Mr HOUANIPWELA: This is a matter of interest to some of us. As the Minister mentioned, reports that come pointed to similar sightings in different places and the Minister has just mentioned that it is already a mystery to some people. The Minister’s report seems to indicate that this will remain a mystery. I want to know whether the government wants this thing to remain a mystery.
Hon Tora: My answer to part (b) of the question states very clearly that there is no evidence and so it will still remain a mystery.
Mr SOALAOI: I have two very short supplementary questions for the Minister. I would have thought that if someone says he actually sees the thing then there is no need to waste time to go and find out. My question is whether the Minister of Police knows exactly how many people sighted the plane, and also in the Minister’s answer at the end he mentioned that the incident remains a mystery which I want the Minister to explain to us in what ways has the incident become a mystery to our people.
Hon Tora: The question asked was already made clear. I have already answered that question in the lengthy answer I have given. If any sightings happen again, I believe relevant authorities will continue to investigate if it is going to cause fear to people in any particular area that sighted the plane. But I do not have information as to the number of people who have seen the plane.
Mr Abana: The Minister mentioned that people from Ogou and Canaan actually sighted the plane or something else from a distance of about four to five kilometers. Minister, I did not hear you say whether they actually heard any sound of explosion coming from the impact of the plane going into the sea. I only heard you say that the people only saw the plane ditching into the sea but whether there is any explosion. Can you clarify that?
Hon Tora: The information I received was that the people saw smoke coming out of the plane when it seemed to crash into the sea.
Hon MAELANGA: Thank you for allowing me to contribute briefly to questions raised by my colleague Members on the other side to the Minister of Police. I think this incident happened in my constituency and therefore I would like to inform the House that sightings like this have been happening there a long time ago, and when this report came it confirmed that there is nothing and so even those of us in East Malaita are not too sure what this is all about. If we start to think this is an UFO or try to study areas like that you will start to be aware of things like this. We even heard about similar sightings in Makira like my people are seeing lights and when they went and check they find nothing.
It is good that this thing has happened and police report confirms that there is no
evidence of a plane crash. I mean for us in East Malaita it is a bit strange to us that such a thing like that happens but for us to actually know what that is, we do not know. I just want to clarify this to the House so that we know. I do not know about other places but where the incident happened, from my village in the middle of the bush I can look down to the sea and during some of my times in my village I can see this strange sighting. I can see lights appearing which later on disappeared and when people go down to check there is nothing. I just want to clarify this to the House for the information of Members of Parliament.
I think the report given by the Police is very clear and all of us should be satisfied with.
All the detailed information we might need from the Police has been given by the Minister of Police this morning and therefore I do not think we should ask the Minister of Police any further questions because t is very clear there.
Mr Sogavare: As rightly expressed by the Deputy Prime Minister, I think the question has been fully answered by the Minister for Police. This side of the House only has the duty to ensure our people are safe. What actually happened was reported by the people that they actually sight things crashing into the seas and it is the responsibility of the Ministry of Police and National Security to ensure that we know exactly what is happening. Since this thing has happened and has become public knowledge, I think we should be putting more emphasis to actually establish what has really happened instead of just ruling them off as something that just happens. There are things called UFO so that is the concern of this side of the House. In saying that, I thank the Minister for responding to the question. You see it people, this stuff is going on and goes on as you read my post. After having few conversations with people who personally went on their own private expeditions to SI for the same reason – to uncover some or all of the mysteries there has been a unanimous agreement that Australian and probably US government are clamping down on SI, Vanuatu and PNG in order to contain this situation for the rest of us “civilized moderners”. It’s very hard to go there as a foreigner with an expedition in mind wihout ASIO breathing down your neck and all other strange occurrences that prevent you from finding the *right places*. What gives me reason to rejoice is that SI government for which I hope still has some sovereignity over it’s country is hopefully waking up to these phenomena and will conduct their own search. What needs to happen is just a little bit more of this silly pilots who crash their planes into the sea and bush just for fun and to scare local people. Or a little bit more of illegal corporate logging until giants have nowhere to hide anymore? What needs to happen I ask you, for you to start seeing this on your TV news rather than just reading it on my blog???

Advanced lighting in Mount Kolovrat

After sharing the account of Baura’s story with my local contact in Malaita I got some interesting feedback. My contact thinks that although Baura writes to Solomon Stars on different issues this story is hardly believable. However my contact told me of folk tale associated with Mount Kolovrat that not only supports Mairus’ claims of underground cave systems which are lit with unfamiliar light source, but also it gives good association as to why this mountain was named “Kolovrat” by the Dalmatian explorer in 16th century. First let me remind you what Marius said: “I do not know if the Giants of Guadalcanal ever had technology before, but they certainly do have now. In fact, I know that they have had a lighting system within their cave dwellings for at least the past 50 years now that has no obvious light source, such as bulbs and lamps, but somehow inside the mountains, it is just like daytime from what the eyewitnesses that have been captured and released have told me.”

Now my contact said the following: “I still remember a folklore that told of a man going after his breadfruit which fell down a sinkhole. The man ended up in a huge cavern that is all lighted up (do not know how) and there seemed to be no night there. We call them dangi-talau, meaning daylight for ever. The people there taught their new friend the art of pan pipe music, and that was how moderners were able to play pan pipes. This originated from the north. I remember well the folklores that tell of giants flying straight into or out of a sinkhole, (not climbing down or up). These giants have very long hair and their hair made noises as they flew. These were the ones that stole people and took them underground.”

Considering that Kolovrat symbolizes the Sun, and that this mountain might hold caves with unexplained, daylight-for-ever, light source it makes you wonder if viceroy found these strange caves as well.

Mount Kolovrat – story by James Baura

We’ll it’s almost New Year’s eve and I want everyone to give a present a bit earlier before we enter 2011. Because 2011 will perhaps be an interesting year  for “field work” in thick bush of Solomon Islands. I found this post: and it looks like someone might be gearing up for 2011. Also more importantly I want people to read this: James Baura’s Letter to Solomon Star News, 14 August 2008. This man also wants to reveal his discoveries in 2011. I’m not sure if these are two are somehow connected, but since it is an interesting story I thought it would be worthwhile to make an interesting observation.

You know, to name a mountain “Kolovrat” in Solomon Islands struck me VERY weird at the first time I read this story. Why? Because due to my Slavic language and origin I know very well what Kolovrat means. It is an important solar symbol in ancient pagan Mythology and in broader sense means “spinning wheel“.

Apparently the mountain also has its native name  Alas’a, but it is known for hundreds of years as Kolovrat. What on earth is Slavic word doing at the end of the world in Solomon Islands for so long?? The answer lies in the 16th century:

There was a Dalmatian, Viceroy Bune from Dubrovnik who apparently established trading posts in SI and made some local friends along the way. He used Dalmatian toponyms not only to to name mount Alas’a, but also island Velakula (now Lavella), Voza (Bambatana), Mitra (Fataca), Narovo (Eddystone), Uveli (Ouvelli), Mala (Malanta), , Debeli (Cape Soreyar) etc. But why is this interesting in regards to James Baura’s story? Well you can also name spinning wheel differently, like rotating disc. 🙂

I am wondering if Vice Bune experienced something similar like James Baura that struck awe into him and made him relate this mountain to Sun? That shooting beam of light described by Baura, the Sun, the spinning wheel, I don’t know…maybe someone else does. Anyway I and my associate tried to make contact with Mr James Baura, but to no avail. If you look at the internet his contact info is easy to find. Maybe he would trust a local rather than outsider like me.  Solomon islanders who are reading this please ask this man about his progress and what are the plans for 2011.

Real Kakamora

Seems Tutuvatu discussions are picking up thanks to the mysterious plane crash that happened recently:  I suggest you check Tutuvatu from time to time because I get bored repeating myself on this blog about what’s happening in that forum. What I wanted to write about is another gem on the internet which is unfortunately fading away because there is almost no activity. It a social network that gathers people from Makira called Real Kakamora . If you visit the site it will say it’s unavailable. The admin is really slow and almost gone so the Ning probably has a policy to shut down inactive networks. Anyway thanks to my “paranoia safe mode” approach to this research I thought that it would be good to save a few precious pages from this network that involve the discussions about “Mysterious military in Makira”.

What do you think? I think the discussion I recorded offers some insight. Some people are seeing something, some don’t and it seems to me judging by these posts that seeing is believing. Take a note that cargo cult is being mentioned. That might be possible but this is a different era than WWII. You have educated young people there who are quite aware of modern technologies humanity possess, but still things they are seeing are unlike anything they ever seen before.

Asking the right question

Going deeper into my investigation I got in touch with a man six months ago. I’m not going to disclose his identity as I respect every man’s right to take care of his reputation, preserve his job, feed his family etc.  Anyway this is someone who spent a lot of time in SI and who offered valuable information. We discussed about giants, UFOs etc, but his explanation of UFO is the most interesting one which brought up some new questions. He had the opportunity to discuss the UFO sightings with the locals in a remote area. They offered a very detailed description from which he concluded (and he emphasized this without a doubt based on his knowledge of aircraft) that those are US manufactured attack helicopters. The villagers described them down to the navigation lights and cockpit glow. These are most likely, and I quote my contact, “…Cobra, Apache, or still in development helicopters.  No doubt. The mystery is not if they are seeing UFOs, but WHY are they seeing helicopters?   So something strange is happening, but not what some people would want to assume.”

I assume that Australian army bought some of those attack helicopters from USA and probably employed them during the etnic tension and RAMSI intervention. But why do people continue to see these helicopters on a daily basis? And isn’t it interesting that Mairus Boirayon introduced himself as helicopter pilot/engineer? I quote the original: Some years ago, as I had once been working as a Helicopter pilot/engineer, I was asked by a boss helicopter pilot of an American fishing fleet that had helicopters, to look after their spare parts required, as Australia was closer that Guam. The job lasted six weeks and I was handsomely paid for my little effort. The office I took was just opposite the old Guadalcanal Provincial Headquarters

Here is an interesting post from Belden T., a SI islander. I found this post much earlier then getting in touch with my contact. I didn’t give it enough thought until hearing the helicopter explanation.  This post makes a lot of sense when you observe the UFO story in the light of mysterious military helicopters:

I am a Solomon Islander. I happened to get your website from a friend thru the internet. I read about the articles of giants and UFOs and their sites in the Solomon Islands. I come from Makira Island, an island in the east part of the country and east of Guadalcanal Island. In my island we also had entcounters of UFOs. The western end of the island, closer to Guadalcanal is said to be the base of these UFOs. These UFOs have been on the island for a long time but it was during the height of the enthnic tension (2000) that these things really put on a good show. The people of west Makira are very familiar with these. During the year 2000 (and until 2003), these flying objects really showed themselves up. People see planes, warships, and even real people in army uniforms. The mysterious thing about these UFOs (at least for this part of the world) is that they do not make noises, even when they just fly above the coconut trees (approximate height – 30 to 100m) you cannot hear any sound. If you listen very carefully, you can only hear a sound similar to when you play a tape in your stereo recorder. These UFOs usually fly in the night, some times high and some times just above the trees. Very early in the morning (about 5:30 am) if you are lucky you could see one of them and reports from those who saw them, they said they can sometimes see the body of the UFO, like a real plane, some they say look like the sting-ray (diamond shape) only that they are smaller than actual planes. Sometimes during broad daylight, people actually see them, real planes and helicopters making a lot of noise. I personally did not belive such stories until one night, waiting patiently to see one, I had my chance. This was in Kirakira, the provincial capital, and about 50 kilometers from Arosi area, in year 2000. The time that they usually appear in this part of the island was a 12 o’clock midnight. It was 12:30 am after giving up hope and going back into my house that I decided to take a last look outside thru the window that I saw the red signal light of the flying object. Running into the bedroom to call my wife,we went outside to watch the flying object. If flew just above the trees but we could not hear any noises. After this incident, I believe the stories from the people sighting these flying objects. Another mysterious thing was that, as the  ethnic tension cooled down, these things also slowed down their appearances and finally now, they can be only seen on rare occasions. This makes our people wonder as to what it all means. Is there any secret mission somewhere?  Thanks.  Belden T.

..well as the time goes by I kind of lost my thread of thought and not sure what to write in this post anymore. There is much more to tell so stay tuned. If you think this is bull, wait to see my next post.

Homework for the readers: In relation to bold parts of Belden’s post – it makes a lot of sense that during the war you have military vehicles and aircrafts showing up more frequently comparing to military activity in peace right? What I want to know, and this is the new homework, is the helicopter patrol routines of RAMSI forces stationed in SI? When and where do they take off  and land?, Their fly routes, etc. I’m no expert in this so if you know some army people who might be able to draw some parallels here I would be glad if you can share. Or better yet does RAMSI currently have aerial patrols at all?? What daily business would attack helicopters have in SI NOW? As for the silent low-flying  UFO, I think Apache could perform like this, but far from “any noises” or sounding like playing tape recorder. Usually when flying very low Apache tries to hide or sneak. Hide from what? From poor people with spears and arrows? One thing is for sure – the word “helicopter” appearing too many times in this story.

Yowiehunters expedition

I wanted to make a quick reflection on the findings made by crew. For those of you who don’t know Yowiehunters or AYR (Australian Yowie Research) is a group of enthusiasts who seem to take their cryptid research hobby seriously and have built somewhat of reputation, but how really reputable and reliable they are is not the subject of this post. Anyway Marius Boirayon made contact with them and they went on expedition to the SI and here is their account:

First thing I must comment is that obviously Marius did not leave a good impression on Yowiehunters:

“..he handed Mike what he claimed was a giant un-cut Diamond in which he could keep. Later that week, Mike handed it to a major Gold Coast Jeweller that confirmed it was nothing more exciting than a piece of glass?.. This was just one in a multitude of incorrect claims supplied by him. Alarm bells were ringing?.. “

“My only reservation was Marius. He was not to come.”

So Marius contacted them, asked for money, gave a false diamond and …hmmmm.

There is however something which is in favor of Marius at least in terms of story consistency and this is going to be understood only by those who read the book. This Yowiehunters post was made in 2006 and they went there in 2003. So these reported claims:

“He declared his use of an alias was not only because he was being followed, but also his phone was tapped and he had evidence that he needed to defend…”

“…had worked in several roles while living in the Islands and claimed he had the ear of the “President” and presented us with an official invitation from some Government Department…”

“…he had always stated that he could never return due to threats to his life…”

“…mining conspiracies and hidden Diamonds…”

All this goes hand in hand with the content of the Solomon Islands Mysteries book that was published in 2009.

Now something more important that must be made clear for those thinking about going to Solomon Islands for a “hike” after reading this blog.

“Their stories were fascinating while they spoke with conviction about the Giants of the forest they, and many other natives had encountered. According to the two, the Giants still remain in the centre of the Island that is very remote, hostile and hard to navigate…”

“…under no circumstances walk these tracks alone…”

“He rushed to the man and frantically explained in their language who we were and which village gave us permission to cross this border…”

“One of the main concerns to the native Solomon Islanders was the constant paranoia of Western Mining Companies raping their land for minerals, oil and Diamonds, which would desecrate their land and threaten their way of life…”

Without prior permission to head through which was supposed to have been arranged prior to the trip; we could have been speared to death…”

“Michael had already shown a great deal of financial generosity towards them to keep us safe and they were always gesturing for more..”

“…this was all such a poorly executed expedition on behalf of our guides in which we had intrusted so much faith upon…”

I hope you see my point. And I had these dangers confirmed by a number of people who spent some time exploring SI. Giants or no giants, exploring the islands’ interior is a daunting task. Without good relationship with tribes, especially tribe elders and chiefs, good local guides, a lot of money exclusively designated for bribing you probably won’t get far and you might get your self killed. You need to understand that further inland you go there is a greater chance you will run into tribes that don’t care much about the civilized world imported to SI. They still live off the land and don’t leave the jungle premises. Will you bribe them too with money ? I don’t think so because money is of no worth to them. Supplies, clothes and everything you posses and they find interesting, that might go, but at one point you won’t have anything more to give and that can spell trouble. Don’t get me wrong, I heard from others that indigenous people are very kind and  friendly, but keep in mind that you are venturing in different world looking for giants. Younger people might find that interesting and will tell you “olketa kastom” stories, but the real, quality info you can only get from village elders who from reports I got are protective and secretive about topics such as giants.

For the end of this post here is something inspirational from Yowiehunters expedition:

During his interrogation, he asked the purpose of our visit. “The Giants” we responded. “Giants? The last Giants died ten years ago. There are no more Giants now”. The look in his eyes told a different story. He may have been able to bluff his way over the simple villagers, however it was more than apparent that this so called Holy man was nothing more than a power hungry cloak and dagger stand over from the medieval times. “There are no Giants, you must leave now. “”

The “Reptilian” statue

There is no much material evidence to support this story or debunk it so let’s start with that first. Remember the reptilian statue described by Marius? There is actually a photo of it here: .

The photo is poor resolution and I was really cheering for it to be in line with the story, but it’s not. And the story says:  “This very futuristic “Star Trek” warrior-type reptilian half-human man has a very determined look upon his face whilst holding his tail-attached ultra-modern ray-gun in his right hand and pointing to the west with his left”.  First thing that you notice right away is there is no left hand pointing anywhere. I thought to myself, well maybe that’s a lie but from this resolution I really can’t say whether the statue is of fisherman as described by the PacificWrecks or is it a sort of X-man. I was tripping that I can see goggles of sort on the statue’s head but that is probably  reflection of the Sun plus the effect of decreased resolution.

I also managed to prove this by obtaining the photo in it’s original resolution. I’m not going to show you the original photo because I didn’t get permission to publish it so you’ll just have to trust me there is nothing out of the ordinary  with this statue and it’s just human with quite normal human face standing there.  Marius even wrote “The less detailed bullet ridden statue that is there now was the replacement that the Japanese put there in hindsight just before the Solomon Island Tension.” Well if it less detailed and bullet ridden it should still depict the same thing right?? Well not this statue.

I’ll show you another photo that supports the PacificWrecks and some other sites report that in 2008 some vandals tried to steal the statue and sell it for scrap metal. As you can see the poor statue is just lying there and still nothing out of the ordinary.

Vandalized statue

I was told by John Innes  that statue was a donation of family of the  Japanese sculptor. After the vandalism the sculpture is now again in the possession of Japanese until they decide what to with it. I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize to John Innes for not being entirely truthful when I explained the background of my interest in this statue. John, you are probably pissed off when you learned why I contacted you, but for the sake of truth I could not mention the real story from start as you would probably think that I’m crazy.

Homework for the readers: Yes you will be getting homeworks on this blog because I can’t do it all alone. It would be interesting to get in touch with the family of Seiichi Takahashi, the sculptor who made this statue.  Although I consider this case closed because I saw the original photo I still wonder what they have to say about this…
